how to list

Listing Rules

Practical guidance for putting products on ADHchi. The kind of thing we wish other marketplaces had given us when we first started selling online.

The basics every listing needs

  • Title that says what it is in plain English. "Cwtch Lap Pad" not "Premium Calming Solution".
  • At least one photo. Real photos of the real thing. Studio shots are fine but not required.
  • Description that covers: what it is, what it helps with, what's included, dimensions / specs, lead time for physical items.
  • Price. In GBP. Inclusive of UK VAT if you're VAT-registered.
  • The right tags. Pick at least one "Helps with" value, the correct format (physical / digital / course / etc.), and flag your audience under "Best for".

Photos

  • Minimum 800px wide. Square format renders best on listing cards.
  • Real lighting beats fake lighting. Natural daylight against a neutral background works great.
  • Multiple angles for physical products. One good photo for digital products is fine.
  • No watermarks or text overlays on the main photo. Save the "SALE!" graphics for promo.
  • Don't use stock photos as if they're your product. AI-generated images of products you haven't made are not allowed.

Descriptions

  • Write like a human, for a human. Avoid corporate copy and bullet-point hell.
  • Lead with what it helps with. Not what it's made of.
  • Say who it's not for. If your weighted blanket is too heavy for kids, say so. Honesty drives better matches and fewer refunds.
  • Mention your lead time for physical products.
  • Mention what's included for digital / course / service products.

Categories and tags

Use the marketplace metafields properly:

  • Helps with — pick the 1-3 things your product genuinely helps with. Don't tick every box.
  • Sensory profile — only if relevant. Skip it for digital products and services.
  • Best for — self-declared audience. ADHD, autism, etc. Don't tick "everyone".
  • Format — pick the one that fits. If you genuinely sell across formats (e.g. course + workbook bundle), use "bundle".
  • ND-led seller — tick the box if you're ND or ND-led.

✅ We're great with

  • Sensory tools (fidgets, weighted goods, earplugs)
  • Planners, notebooks, dopamine menus
  • Books, zines, printables, workbooks
  • Courses, classes, group programmes
  • Coaching, therapy, body doubling
  • ADHD-friendly apps and software
  • Clothing designed for sensory needs
  • Subscriptions, communities, memberships
  • Art, accessories, lifestyle gear

❌ We can't host

  • Supplements, vitamins, or anything ingestible
  • CBD, cannabis, or controlled substances
  • Medical devices that require regulatory approval
  • Things that claim to cure or replace medication
  • Diagnostic tests or "self-diagnose" tools
  • Gambling or sweepstakes
  • Adult / NSFW content
  • Firearms, weapons, related accessories
  • Anything illegal in the UK
  • AI-generated content sold as human-made

Pricing

  • Price in GBP. Set whatever the market will bear.
  • If you're VAT-registered, prices are VAT-inclusive.
  • Don't list at £1 to game search ranking. We'll spot it.
  • Discount codes are fine. Tell us if you want us to feature one in the newsletter.

The quality review

Every new listing goes through a quick review before going live. We're looking for:

  • Photos are real and clear
  • Description tells the truth about what it is
  • No banned categories
  • No wild medical claims
  • Right tags applied

If something needs fixing, we message you. Most listings approve same day. Worst case 48 hours.

Updating a live listing

Minor edits (typo fix, photo swap, slight price tweak) go live immediately. Major changes (rewriting the product entirely, changing the format) re-trigger the quality review.
